I first picked up the guitar when I was 13 years old. I had grown up watching my dad, Mario, and older brother, Dom, play music together, and that’s what initially ignited my passion. My dad taught me basic chords and guitar riffs from 70’s and 80’s classic rock songs, while Dom shared his techniques for more modern type punk/rock music. Playing guitar was always a big leisure activity for me in my spare time between school and sports. I gradually started to apply song and lyrics while strumming and soon realized I was comfortable singing and playing in front of friends and family. This led to jamming and writing music with close friends throughout high school, and then all throughout college and beyond. I use guitar and music as a way to breakaway from “everyday life”, and find it very relaxing to pick and strum tunes that freely come into my mind. Outside of music, I spend a lot of time with my wife, Chelsea and two dogs, River and Ridge. We love taking them hiking in the mountains or swimming at the lake and beach. I enjoy playing golf on the weekends, and am passionate about all Pittsburgh sports teams! My favorite bands are Zac Brown Band and Mumford and Sons.
